美国消费者价格指数（CPI）4月份增长放缓至0.3%，低于市场预期的0.4%，较上月的0.4%有所下降，而年度数字从3.5%下降至3.4%，符合预期。核心CPI通胀率从3月的3.8%降至3.6%。

在经济前景方面，美国4月零售销售未变，低于市场预期的0.4%增长。

消费价格放缓是在4月生产者物价指数超出预期一天后出现的。交易员现在认为美国央行在9月开始降息的可能性为50.5%。随着CPI新闻的发布，美国国债收益率急剧下跌，美元也下跌。

在纽约收盘时，蓝筹道琼斯工业平均指数上涨0.9%至39,908点，标普500指数上涨1.2%至5,308点，纳斯达克综合指数收于16,742点，均创下收盘峰值，略低于早盘最高纪录。

科技巨头领涨市场，苹果股价上涨1.2%，谷歌母公司Alphabet上涨1.3%，人工智能芯片制造商英伟达股价上涨3.6%。

另外，云端平台提供商Monday.com股价飙升21.4%，因为该公司第一季度盈利超出预期，并提高了全年预期。

但是，在本周早些时候大涨之后，两只“迷因股”大幅回吐，电影院连锁企业AMC娱乐股价下跌20.0%，因为该公司宣布了一项债务换股计划，而GameStop股价下跌18.8%。截至周三，GameStop和AMC本周分别上涨了179%和135%。
