英国富时100指数周四收盘略有下跌，此前一度上涨，但在英国央行（BoE）预期未变的情况下，放弃了一些早前的涨幅，并未透露利率何时会下调。

英国政府债券收益率在英国央行发布消息后上涨，英镑价格波动。英镑兑美元汇率从早前的下跌中反弹，上涨0.35%，报1.2730美元，但对欧元的汇率下跌了0.05%，报1.1718。

英国央行维持利率处于15年来的高位，并表示需要更多证据表明通胀将降至其2%的目标之前，才会降息。英国货币政策委员会的9名成员中有6人投票维持利率在5.25%不变，有2人投票支持加息0.25个基点，而另有1人投票支持同等规模的降息。

英国央行在措辞上略微软化，放弃了警告称如果通胀压力持续存在，则需要“进一步紧缩”的表述。但美联储和欧洲央行官员最近更明确地表示，降息在他们的议程中。

UK100 M30

英国蓝筹指数收于7,622点，下跌了0.1%，由于大宗商品股票的涨势，但在英国央行做出利率决定前曾一度上涨约0.6%。与此同时，更多关注国内市场的富时250指数下跌了1.2%，报19,131点。银行股领跌，受英国央行的利率评论影响，NatWest下跌了2.1%，巴克莱下跌了1.6%，劳埃德银行集团下跌了0.5%。

受当前利率僵局的影响，房地产公司也遭受了打击，Land Securities下跌了2.3%，而房屋建筑商Persimmon下跌了1.4%。另外，BT集团在发布业绩后大幅下跌，第三季度电信公司的收入和利润仅略有增长，并警告称其绩效仍受到成本上升的影响，下跌了2.9%。

但是，能源巨头壳牌的股价上涨了2.4%，达到三周多来的高位，因为这家能源公司将其股息提高了4%，并扩大了股份回购计划，第四季度调整后利润超出预期。而矿业公司嘉能可在其年度生产数据符合预期后上涨了1.3%，尽管2023年每种商品均出现下滑，只有黄金和煤炭未出现下滑，而预计只有锌和铬铁合金在2024年有望改善。
