周三，英国股市收盘涨跌不一，蓝筹股受华尔街早盘下跌影响，投资者等待美国联邦储备委员会最新货币政策会议纪要的公布，以及人工智能芯片巨头英伟达的重要财报。

本国数据显示，根据消费者研究公司Kantar的数据，英国食品杂货价格通胀已升至15个月来的最高水平。由于零售商为适应4月份生效的更高的雇主国民保险缴费和上调后的国家生活工资而提高价格。

截至5月18日的四周内，与去年同期相比，食品杂货价格上涨了4.1%，高于前四周的3.8%。Kantar表示，这是自2024年2月以来最大的同比涨幅。

在次级市场中，宠物护理公司Pets at Home是FTSE 250的上涨股之一，股价上涨1.6%。该公司全年税前利润增长14%，营收小幅增长0.1%，并宣布维持最终股息为每股8.3便士不变。
